SORRY, NOT SORRY.

What would happen if this time I don’t say sorry?

What if I told you that I provoked you on purpose?

What would happen if destruction became synonymous of creation?

Giampiero Romanò, Timothy Gatenby, and Francesco De Molfetta are the protagonists of the new and exclusive online show "Sorry not sorry."

Even if distinguished by different communication channels among sculpture, painting, and craftsmanship, all three artists express great attention to the process of artistic decontextualization. A profound study both on material and conceptual levels, which throughout art history has often been confused or credited as an insult or a disrespect.

In the wave of Marcel Duchamp and his "readymades", the three artists show us how the process of innovation and change must necessarily pass through a deep study and research especially at the material level. In an encounter between tradition and Pop culture, Giampiero Romano deconstructs antique mirrors with a street approach, Timothy Gatenby paints iconic pop and cartoon figures with Old Master's techniques and Francesco De Molfetta revisits comics and contemporary art characters through the tradition of porcelain.
